Vegard Rooth will step up as the new CEO of InterimLeder AS from 1 January 2015

There are exciting developments ahead at InterimLeder AS and the use of interim management looks set to increase strongly in the coming years. For this reason the Board of Directors has chosen to employ a new, dynamic and experienced manager as its CEO. Vegard Rooth will take over the role from 1 January 2015.

"I am thrilled about Vegard Rooth coming on board as the CEO. He is definitely the right person, both with regard to his management experience and not least his experience as an interim manager. This means that I can focus more on customers and identifying the right interim managers for the needs that arise," says founder Sverre Holen.

Intimately familiar with the market

After ten years as an interim manager Vegard Rooth is intimately familiar with the interim management concept and the market. He is also very familiar with the company through close collaboration in various contexts. For the last five years he has also served on the board of directors.

"I have been working closely with InterimLeder for a number of years and I have observed first-hand how the company has developed the market for this type of management. More and more people are becoming aware of what a profitable tool interim management can be, in no small part due to skilled owners and employees who have worked at and with InterimLeder for a number of years. I am really happy to have the opportunity to continue building on this, together with the founders, partners, board of directors and not least the customers and interim managers. We will continue to create growth in the use of interim management in Norway, in close collaboration with our Nordic partners, says the newly appointed CEO, Vegard Rooth.

Vegard Rooth

Vegard Rooth (born 1963) studied at the Oslo School of Management, holds a Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School and holds additional qualifications from Stanford University and the University of Oxford.

Since 2005 he has run his own company and has carried out a number of turnaround operations at companies such as Abax, Advania, TeamUp Automasjon AS, VRS, Swisslog, ICA, Scanmar, Altia, Veolia and Nordic Aero. Prior to this he held a number of directorships in the SAS Group between 1999 and 2005.

In the 80s and 90s Vegard was a key driving force in the establishment of the elite sports college Wang Toppidrett and worked in sports-related organisations such as Olympiatoppen and Golden 4 (now Diamond League). Vegard is also a board member at Børge Ousland AS.
